Notes:
Tunisian born and Duesseldorf based Loco Dice mixed this year´s
installment of the TKD Time Warp compilation series and follows into
the footsteps of Tiefschwarz, DJ Hell and Adam Beyer. Accompanying the
festival the compilation will be released on the 30th of March via
Cosmopop.
Loco Dice´s tribal, sweetly funky, bassline driven, dance floor
friendly skills have given him a residency at club DC-10 and Germany’s
favourite venue, Dusseldorf’s Tribehouse. He regularly tours America,
both North and South, having played all the Spundaes, all the Crobars,
Creamfields and Pacha. He belongs to the biggest in the minimal and
house scene and has released records on labels such as Ovum, M_nus,
Cadenza, Cocoon and Four Twenty.
The new compilation includes 30 tracks on 2 CDs reflecting the current
club culture but leaves out pushy dance-floor tracks : “You can listen
to it in the car, or at home, after the party, or now!” says Loco Dice
about the project. The result is a genre covering diversity of well
thought strings like a fantastic live- set were the tracks are
following each other up smoothly! Featuring the likes of Dan Curtin,
Kevin Saunderson, Plasticman, M-nus´ Gaiser & Hearttrob, Abe Duque,
Baby Ford and Benno Blume this release is worth listening.
